Thank you for your interest in joining either the Student Orientation Staff (SOS) or the SO�ǿ��޴�ý Camp Mentor Staff! SOS and SO�ǿ��޴�ý Camp are two premiere student leadership groups at the �ǿ��޴�ý. Selection to either staff is extremely competitive, and those selected represent the best and brightest of our university.

About Our Teams

The Student Orientation Staff works to facilitate our Orientation programs, welcoming over 6,000 new students & parents to campus each year and collectively volunteering over 15,000 hours each spring and summer.

SO�ǿ��޴�ý Camp Mentors facilitate SO�ǿ��޴�ý Camp, our Extended Orientation program that supplements New Student Orientation. Camp is designed to provide new students with the skills and networks needed to develop leadership skills and Ragin' Cajun spirit.

Meet our team and learn more about the SOS and SO�ǿ��޴�ý Camp experiences at an Interest Session or Information Table. Attendance is not required, but is highly encouraged!

Interest Sessions

All Interest Sessions will be held in the Student Union Forum, room 209A.

Interest Session 1: Thursday, January 15 at 4 PM
Interest Session 2: Tuesday, January 20 at 3 PM
Interest Session 3: Wednesday, January 28 at 3 PM

The 2026 Staff Application deadline is Wednesday, January 28, 2026 by 11:59 PM (before midnight).

Applications are time-stamped upon submission. Any application submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. No exceptions!

All applicants must attend and fully participate in a group interview. Group Interviews will take place on Friday, January 30 from 1:00-4:30 PM.

Applicants will receive a confirmation email on January 29 with additional details, including information about parking, check-in, and attire.

Whether or not you've been selected to advance to the individual interview round, all applicants will receive an email notification.

If selected to advance, you'll be invited to schedule an individual interview. The individual interviews are held online via Zoom on a variety of dates to be announced.

Keep a close eye on your email! We will officially announce the 2026 Student Orientation Staff and SO�ǿ��޴�ý Camp Staff on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
