The time commitment for a sorority can vary depending on the chapter, but the first semester tends to be the most time-intensive. During this period, new members go through the chapter鈥檚 education program, which is designed to help you develop leadership and time management skills, learn about the organization, form friendships, and get involved in other campus activities.

Chapters hold weekly meetings and other events throughout the year, such as philanthropies, socials, and initiations. These events are typically planned in advance.
