Spring 2026 Semester Parking Permit Information
All spring 2026 permits will expire on Sunday, May 31.
Summer 2026 Permits
A Summer 2026 permit is required of all residential, commuter students, student workers, graduate assistants and adjuncts parking on University property.
Summer 2026 permits will be available for purchase starting May 20, 2026. These permits will be active June 1 through August 7.
All vehicles parked on University property must be either linked to an active permit or have purchased time to park in one of the ParkMobile hourly parking lots.
Permit Pricing
Summer 2026 permit pricing will be as follows.
Residential student parking permits for students living on campus.
Residential summer semester parking permits are $20.
Permits are sold according to the housing facility of the residential student and may be used to park in their assigned zones only.
Residential parking permits are restricted to one vehicle at a time. Contact Transportation Services to make any changes to your residential permit.
Families residing in Cajun Village who need to purchase an additional permit for a second driver in the family may do so for $10 for the summer. The second permit may only be purchased in the Office of Transportation Services.
Residential Handicap Permits are also available to individuals residing on campus for the summer who have current state issued handicap credentials on file with Transportation Services. Any student with active state issued handicap credentials in their name may request to be approved to purchase a residential handicap parking permit by emailing their drivers license, mobility card and hangtag to geauxpark@louisiana.edu. This permit allows parking in the handicap spaces reserved with signage for residential handicap parking permits or any other parking space in their residential zone.
Commuter students:
Please note that bus service from Cajun Field has been suspended for the summer. Bus services will resume at the start of the fall semester in August. Commuter parking permits will not be available for the summer semester.
Summer shuttle stop locations for continuous loop shuttle service include:
- Student Union
- Rex St.
- Legacy (Near Cafe' Fleur De Lis)
- Cajun Village (S. Campus Drive)
- Heritage (Club House)
- Bourgeois (Gym side)
- Health Sciences (611 St. Landry)
Shuttle service hours are Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Closed Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Permits available to commuter students for the summer include:
Girard Park Circle Parking Tower
Guaranteed parking on the third through sixth floors of the garage on all class days.
Summer permits will be sold for $125 for the summer.
Permits will be available for purchase starting May 20, 2026. These permits are available on a limited basis.
Permits will be active June 1 through August 7, 2026.
It is not a night permit and does not allow parking elsewhere on campus.
Zone 17C permits
Commuter students can purchase a parking permit for Zone 17C for $20.
This permit will allow parking only in Zone 17C which is shown on the ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ Main Campus & Health Science Campus Zone Map on the Zone Lists & Maps web page. Parking with this permit is restricted to the two areas marked as Zone 17C on the Zone Map
These permits are limited and will be sold on a first come first served basis.
Permits will be active June 1 through August 7, 2026.
Graduate Assistant Permits
For the summer 2026, graduate assistants will purchase the Zone 17C permit. The GA specific permits will be available to purchase again for the fall 2026 semester.

Student Aide Permits
Available on a first-come, first-served basis through online and in-person sales in the Transportation Services office.
Student Aide Summer permits are $20.
Student Aides wanting to purchase a permit must have their supervisor submit their name to Transportation Services each semester to be placed in a pool of those eligible to purchase one of the limited permits.
