Four schools and six businesses have been recognized for their Ragin鈥 Cajun spirit and pride as part of the 鈥淧aint the Town Red鈥 Homecoming competition.
A team of local celebrity judges chose winners in a range of categories for schools and for businesses. Judges look for the best and most creative displays of Homecoming and school spirit.
Businesses were judged Wednesday. Schools were judged Thursday.
School winners are:
- Decorations 鈥 Broadmoor Elementary School
- Academic connection 鈥 Prairie Elementary School
- Spirit 鈥 Plantation Elementary School
- Skit 鈥 Ridge Elementary School
Business winners are:
- Exterior decorations 鈥 Lowry鈥檚 Printing and Copying (first place) and Cox Communications (runner-up)
- Interior decorations 鈥 Lafayette Parish Sheriff鈥檚 Office (first place) and Garden View Assisted Living (runner-up)
- Skit 鈥 Ottinger Hebert law firm (first place) and Allure Enhancement Center (runner-up)
