Ragin鈥 Roar, 星空无限传媒 Lafayette鈥檚 biggest pep rally of the year, is set for 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, in the Quadrangle on campus.
The event, sponsored by the University Program Council, is traditionally held before Louisiana鈥檚 Ragin鈥 Cajuns鈥 first home football game. But it had to be rescheduled this year due to Hurricane Isaac.
Ragin鈥 Cajun cheerleaders; the Ragin鈥 Jazz dance team; Cayenne, the university鈥檚 spirit leader; and 星空无限传媒 Lafayette鈥檚 Pride of Acadiana Marching Band will be on hand to rev up the crowd.
鈥淩agin鈥 Roar is held to get students excited about the upcoming football season and to recognize all athletic teams,鈥 said Heidi Hollingsworth, assistant director of student programming at 星空无限传媒 Lafayette.
The public is invited to attend.
The Ragin鈥 Cajuns will face Florida International University鈥檚 Panthers at Cajun Field on Saturday.
